CAL 480 is an ADU with a dimension of 40’ x 12’ having a gross area of 480 sq.ft. This design has the option to add a loft expanding the area with an additional 185 sq.ft.

The layout for CAL 480 is elongated in floor plan and allows for a linear access from the main entrance on one side and to the bedroom on the other end. The interior space for CAL 480 without loft is composed of an L-shaped kitchen with overhead cabinets and ample space for a full-sized refrigerator, a dining space for four people, a laundry area, a toilet and bath with dual access and the bedroom with built-in cabinets. The bedroom can fit a California King sized (72” x 84”) bed. The living area is situated at the wide porch outside. The roof for this design is shed type angled along the length of the plan which allows its pitch to be changed depending on the requirement – with loft or without. The loft area can be an additional bedroom or living area for the client.
