CAL 840 is a two bed, one bath designed ADU with a loft having a dimension of 40’ x 24’. The loft has an area of approximately 253 sq.ft. expanding the total usable floor area up to approximately 1093 sq.ft. The main access into the interior is a folding door from the patio. It opens up to the cozy living room and the stairs to the loft. The dining area is situated next to the living room. It fits a six-seater dining table. To its right are two swing doors leading to the smaller bedroom, and the toilet with shower. The smaller bedroom has built-in cabinets and comfortably fits a Queen sized (60” x 80”) bed. From the dining area, you can access the kitchen space with an L-shaped layout, an island counter, a space for a full-sized refrigerator, a dedicated space for wash/dryer and extra space for storage. Right beside the kitchen is the main bedroom with a sliding door as the access. It fits a California King sized (72” x 84”) bed, a TV entertainment space and built-in cabinets. The main bedroom has wide windows which allows for natural lighting to flow in. Climbing up the stairs to the loft leads the users into a lounge area with full windows offering an undisrupted view of the outside. The loft space can be used however, depending on the preference of the client as it is essentially an extra space. The roof is shed type with variation in ceiling height. It is noticeably higher in the section with loft.
